So, it’s not a big surprise that there were more than 2,000 gods in Egypt. Some of these gods’ names are well known, like Ra, Isis, Osiris, Horus, Amun, Hathor, Bastet, Thoth, Anubis, and Ptah, some of the gods worshipped in ancient Egypt.
